The life of Australian actor-singer Max Oldaker who began his career in London in the 1930s where his stage experience ranged from opera to variety. In Australia, he sang the tenor roles in Gilbert and Sullivan and became the country's most popular male star during the war years.

Includes signed letter by author to previous owner, a number of newspaper clippings following Oldaker's death, and a 1990 letter to the previous owner by the Director, Performing Arts Museum, Victoria.

Good (GC): A book that has been read but is in good condition. Very minimal damage to the cover including scuff marks, but no holes or tears. The dust jacket for hard covers may not be included. Binding has minimal wear. The majority of pages are undamaged with minimal creasing or tearing, minimal pencil underlining of text, no highlighting of text, no writing in margins. No missing pages.
